Looking down the path (read: waiting for exams to get over)

Its that time of the year when I've got to start get back to studying, only this time its more of getting back to PDFs instead of books, which by the way is a change I welcome.

Anyways, I did manage to make a few changes to this site and hopefully you too will welcome them. However, I haven't tested it on the Windows browsers yet as my Windows installation just crashed a few days back so please let me know if you come across any glitches. Oh and Abhishek, you might wanna try out a search or two. ;-)

Really awesome pic Rungta! Like the light at the end of the tunnel kinda theme. Perfect to go with your exams on your way... And how do you even find time to make such cool changes even while you have exams!! THAT's awesome too :D All the best for your exams... and keep it going!! :) Take care.

Awesome! Both the photograph and the ajax.

The comment transition effect doesn't work well with slow PCs and even PowerBook G4s(while using Firefox 2).

Did you change something since my last comment? It seems to be working much faster now.

Lol. Strangely enough, no! Good to hear its working fine though cause I still haven't been able to come up with a way to optimize it any further.

The search is pretty slick. Especially when combined with the google ads. Luck for your exams

Rungta said.. Reply

All credit for the search goes to the people behind the Google AJAX Search API. They've done a great job especially by making it so customizable, although I personally would've preffered not having the ads.

@Nag: Let us know if you ever figure out what it is!

Thanks a lot all of you :)

अरे रुंग्टा यार, why is the RSS on the top of your page spelt Rss?

Rungta said.. Reply

क्यों की I wasn't aware that RSS was not Rss when I'd made that and I was ignorant of changing it. Now that you have pointed out, I'll correct it right away. :)

hmm, good good, you seem to spend a lot of time over your blog... best of luck for your exams

Rungta said.. Reply

Thanks Souvik, and you're right about the time thing. I just finished scouring my blog off enetation and have got rid of it once and for all.

Shit, did you just go back in your Archives and manually convert every comment post ever to your new system? Or was there some automation involved?

Rungta said.. Reply

I would've killed myself if I had to copy paste each comment manually. I obviously wrote a php script which made it a semi-automated process (semi so that I could monitor potential errors). Moreover, it wouldn't have been fun doing it manually. ;-)
